Fire and Ice Treatments

This intensive clinical treatment is designed to resurface the skin, thereby reducing fine lines and wrinkles and deep cleansing blocked pores. A precise combination of two iS Clinical professional treatment masks are complimented by serums and creams with aromas of warm cinnamon and cool peppermint.

The “Fire” part of the facial is an Intensive Resurfacing Masque clinically formulated with 18% un-buffered glycolic acid , lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid, retinol, vitamin B3 and potent antioxidants, including green tea extracts. The treatment can be used on the face, neck and decollete.

The following step in the facial includes a rejuvenating mask – the “Ice” part – it is a cool, soothing and intensively hydrating masque containing hyaluronic acid, Aloe Vera gel, Japanese green tea extracts, liquorice extracts, grape seed extracts, and rosemary extracts. This pampering part of the facial cools the initial “peel” and leaves the skin glowing.

  • The skin usually glows
  • Skin will typically feel tight and firm after treatment
  • Mild redness of the skin may occur following treatment
  • There should be little to no scaling or downtime after the facial
  • It may be repeated at four-week intervals (a series of 5 facials is suggested to receive the optimum clinical effect)
  • Care for your skin by using the complete iS Clinical product range
  • Protect your new skin with adequate sunscreen of Eclipse SPF 50.
  • Who Can Experience This Facial?

The Fire and Ice Facial can be used on all skin types*

  • Pre Treatment:

    • Prepare skin with your practitioner recommended skincare regime.
    • Avoid waxing or laser for 48 hours prior to your treatment.
  • During Treatment:

The Fire and Ice peel bridges the gap between mild facials and invasive peels. It is likely you will feel heat and tingling whilst the peel is in contact with the skin. This can increase after the peel is removed, however after neutralisation and the subsequent application of the Rejuvenating ‘Ice’ Masque, the skin calms almost entirely.

  • Post Treatment:

The Fire & Ice is a ‘no downtime’ treatment. This means you shouldn’t experience any significant shedding, prolonged redness, irritation or inflammation.

  • What to expect after Treatment

In the immediate hours following the treatment, the skin may look a little flushed. This should subside in approximately 4-6 hours.

  • Post Treatment Recommendations:

    • Eclipse SPF 50 should be applied every morning to prevent sun damage, for a minimum of 4 weeks even on cloudy days
    • Waxing and laser should be avoided for 48 hours post treatment
    • Exercise or activities that will cause perspiration should be avoided within the first 12 hours of treatment. This increases the likelihood of deep penetrating ingredients to be secreted out of the pores reducing the efficacy of the treatment
