ABOUT BOTOX® TREATMENTS
Reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles already formed, by relaxing muscles, restoring a more youthful appearance. Can also be used to prevent premature lines lines from forming in younger people (over 18s only).
Over time the treatment re-educates the muscle so time between treatments will increase.
Untreated areas of the face aren’t affected, so you can still smile and frown, but the skin on the treated areas won’t wrinkle as much as usual.
Botox treatments are non-invasive with virtually no recovery time necessary; you can resume your normal activities immediately after.
Botox treatments are ideal for easing over-active muscle movement that can cause deep frown lines and crows feet.
Botox also re-educates muscles as the Clostridium Botulinum bacteria will induce long-term relaxation of contracted muscles.
Lines and wrinkles are a natural and unstoppable part of the ageing process. While they are inevitable they can be prevented and reduced.
It’s essential that you attend a Registered Clinic and are consulted prior to your treatment by a qualified practitioner so that a tailor made treatment programme can be started.
The results of Botox are not immediate and can take between 5-10 days to come into full effect. Immediately following your treatment you are advised to avoid exercise and hot baths to prevent sweating out the Botox.
We also recommend avoiding massaging or rubbing the area for 24 hours after the treatment has been injected. You will be provided with aftercare instructions after your treatment.
The treatment will generally last around 4 months but continued treatments will increase this time as your muscles are gradually relaxed.
